In addition to core accounting responsibilities, the role progressively contributes to project accounting and long term contract revenue recognition. /p pThe position reports directly to the Head of Finance Italy and works in close collaboration with Project Execution, HR/payroll providers, IT, and external advisors. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3General Accounting Financial Close /h3 ul liAct as an accounting reference point for bgeneral ledger activities /b, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations. /li liCoordinate and continuously improve bmonth‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes /b, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of financial data. /li liPrepare, review, and analyse bstatutory and internal financial reporting /b, with a focus on overall coherence and data integrity rather than purely transactional checks. /li /ul h3Process Structuring Data Validation /h3 ul liActively contribute to the bdesign, documentation, and continuous improvement of accounting processes /b, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and fit for a growing organization. /li liPerform bhigh‑level data validation /b by analysing end‑to‑end financial flows across systems, identifying inconsistencies or weaknesses, and proposing corrective and preventive actions. /li liEnsure compliance with binternal controls, accounting policies, and applicable accounting standards /b. /li /ul h3Project Accounting /h3 ul liProgressively support and take ownership of bproject accounting activities /b, including: ul licost tracking and allocation, /li limonitoring project margins and financial performance, /li liPercentage of Completion (POC) calculations, /li liappropriate revenue recognition for long‑term and complex contracts. /li /ul /li liMaintain a close and continuous exchange with bProject Execution /b to ensure a shared, reliable understanding of project financial results. /li /ul h3Payroll, Tax Audit Support (Light Scope) /h3 ul liMaintain a bsolid operational understanding and knowledge of payroll and tax processes /b, currently managed outside the core accounting team. /li liSupport bpayroll‑and tax‑related reconciliation activities /b and ensure correct accounting treatment of related costs and balances. /li liSupport binternal and external audits /b, providing accounting documentation and explanations as required. /li /ul h3Adaptability Problem Solving /h3 ul liOperate effectively in a changing environment, demonstrating badaptability, flexibility, and resilience /b as systems, processes, and organizational structures evolve. /li liProactively identify issues, inefficiencies, or risks and address them with a bsolution‑oriented mindset /b, proposing pragmatic and sustainable solutions. /li /ul h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in bEconomics /b, or a related field. /li lib10 years of professional experience /b in general accounting, audit, or similar roles, preferably in dynamic, international, or project‑based environments. /li liStrong, hands‑on command of baccounting principles and financial reporting /b, with the ability to interpret, challenge, and clearly explain financial data. /li liProven experience acting as a btrusted accounting reference point /b, contributing to process structuring and data quality. /li libOperational knowledge and understanding of payroll and tax matters /b, including interaction with external providers and advisors. /li liAdvanced bExcel skills /b and solid experience with bERP systems /b (e.g. SAGE, SAP, Oracle, or similar). /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combining attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture. /li liAbility to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a bcross‑functional and international environment /b. /li libFluent English (minimum B2 level) /b, written and spoken.
