PpNorthstrat is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Technician to build, test, and deliver systems for our production contract to produce and maintain space electronic warfare systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, integrating, and testing systems ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards. Must have experience manufacturing RF-based electronic systems, as well as instructor experience to provide instruction to junior production technicians on an as needed basis. /p pAs a Senior Production Technician, you will be a primary frontline responsible individual for production support in our factory. Tasks include regularly scheduled production activities involving the hands‑on build‑up and integration of electronic equipment, completion of acceptance tests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, packing and shipping of systems, as well as aiding with next generation production planning. Additional duties include administratively tracking production tasks and assets in our ticketing system for proper documentation, along with configuration management and test reports. In this role, you must maintain flexibility in mission expectations and requirements and be able to follow through on various tasks that are required to build, integrate, and test quality systems for delivery. The successful candidate will be expected to work on site in Northern Virginia with limited opportunities to work from home due to the hands‑on nature of this position. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liCoordinate with production, logistics, and facility managers on material availability, production schedule, delivery need dates, and steps throughout the production process. /li liAid with production planning for multiple system designs. /li liBuild and integrate electronic equipment. /li liComplete production checklists and acceptance test procedures in coordination with quality assurance. /li liIdentify and help resolve problems with production goods. /li liTroubleshoot and resolve technical (hardware and software) issues as they occur in coordination with the engineering team as needed. /li liEscalate any hardware/software issues or system outages to leadership immediately. /li liAdministratively track production tasks and assets in our ticketing system for proper documentation. /li liManage and log the configuration of hardware and software. /li liDocument production data and maintain accurate records. /li liComplete test reports and prepare for delivery. /li liOperate and monitor test equipment verifying calibrations are current to ensure data integrity. /li liInspect intermediate and finished products for quality assurance/quality control and adherence to specifications. /li liAssist logistics team in teardown, packing, and shipping of systems. /li liEffectively manage time to support delivery need dates. /li liCollaborate with production team members to improve efficiency and productivity. /li liMaintain a clean and organized work environment. /li liPerform preventative maintenance checks and services. /li liFollow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. /li liAssist in the set up and calibration of test equipment for new production runs. /li liParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs. /li liMust have a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related field and 8+ years of relevant experience; OR 12+ years of equivalent experience without a degree. /li liShould have functional knowledge of ground systems capable of transmitting and receiving RF emissions. /li liPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environment. /li liAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. /li liAbility to read and interpret test procedures and technical documents. /li liMust be able to physically lift, rack, and stack equipment following one‑person, two‑person, and lifting device safety recommendations. /li liAbility to work effectively under time constraints. /li liStrong troubleshooting skills in software loading, hardware, and network issues. /li liExcellent communication and organizational skills. /li liEffective verbal and written communication skills. /li liBasic understanding of production processes and RF test equipment. /li liAttention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work. /li liBasic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. /li /ul h3Desired Skills/Experience /h3 ul liTechnical certification or training in a related field. /li liExperience working with ground terminal equipment. /li liWillingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends if necessary. /li liAbility/willingness to operate forklift and pallet jacks. /li liFamiliarity with logistics and production operations including asset management of government property. /li /ul pNorthstrat values true work‑life balance. Please refer to our Benefits section for additional details. /p h3Flex Time /h3 pNorthstrat does not mandate specific working hours. Although project requirements may dictate schedules, a Northstrat employee is only required to work an average of 8 hours per weekday over the course of a month. For example: John worked 12 hours on June 1st to meet a project deadline. On June 15th, John only worked 4 hours because he left early for a long weekend. John’s IBA was not debited for time off because flex time allowed him to carry over those 4 hours from June 1st. /p h3Individual Benefits Account (IBA) /h3 pTo attract and retain the highest quality staff, Northstrat provides a unique and versatile benefits package, the Individual Benefit Account (IBA), which places the power of choice in the hands of our greatest asset – the employee. /p pThe purpose of the IBA is to provide attractive benefits to all full‑time employees of Northstrat on a flexible basis that enables each covered employee to select a package that best suits his or her needs. That is, the effective dollar amount of this accrual is in addition to an employee’s salary. /p h3Profit Sharing Plan (PSP) /h3 pThe PSP is a qualified retirement plan that Northstrat funds quarterly on the employee’s behalf through the IBA in the amount equivalent to 25% (up to the IRS contribution limit) of the employee’s compensation.
