Known for our entrepreneurial culture, differentiated research, and deep distribution network, we specialise in complex and illiquid credit across the capital structure. /ppWhy This Role, Why Now: We are elevating our Continental European franchise and seek a Head of Institutional Sales to lead our fixed‑income distribution effort. We need an Italian‑speaking MD to lead client coverage and convert ideas into revenue. You will own the commercial growth strategy, build and mentor a high‑performing sales team, and leverage your portable client network to drive revenue across High Yield, Emerging Markets, Distressed Special Situations, Structured Credit, Loans, and Convertibles. /ppbYour Mission /b /ppCommercial strategy P / L ownership: Set the vision and go‑to‑market plan for European credit distribution; own revenue targets, pipeline, and KPIs. /ppClient origination: Leverage and expand your portable network of AMs, HFs, insurers, pensions, banks, PBs, and family offices; ensure end‑to‑end coverage including fast‑money and special‑sits accounts in a riskless‑principal execution firm (no prop risk). /ppLead client coverage for Italy and Italian‑speaking markets, representing the firm. /ppTeam leadership: Recruit, coach, and retain a diverse, high‑performance sales team; foster an inclusive, results‑driven environment; embed a culture of integrity, transparency, and data‑driven decision‑making. /ppOriginate close complex credit across HY, stressed / distressed bonds loans, and post‑reorg situations; use hybrids sub‑Fins where appropriate. Deliver growth by achieving sales targets and driving business growth in institutional credit. /ppRun your commercial book: Craft ideas with Trading Research, set pricing, coordinate execution, and ensure clean, timely settlement—without taking proprietary risk. /ppCollaborate globally: Coordinate with colleagues across the globe; leverage London US axes to maximize idea flow and capital velocity. /ppGovernance: Reporting directly to the CEO of Europe, this role offers a potential path to GM / CEO once the platform scales. Ensure activities comply with MiFID II, AML, and all other applicable European regulations; champion best‑in‑class conduct and governance. /ppThe Platform You’ll Leverage: Agency‑based, client‑first model designed to avoid conflicts; riskless‑principal execution with seasoned legal settlements support. Deep distribution to thousands of global institutional investors and proven block‑trade capability in liquid illiquid securities. Differentiated desk analysis across the capital structure focused on distressed special sits with cross‑border coverage. European footprint in London and Milan for seamless USEU idea flow and execution. /ppYou Bring: Sell‑side experience is a prerequisite; buy‑side experience will not be considered at this time. Background at a broker‑dealer or investment firm preferred; investment banking experience valued. 10+ years in institutional credit sales, with at least 5 years managing a team/desk. A strong existing client network and portable, monetizable relationships in HY / stressed / distressed / special sits. Deep product expertise across HY, EM, distressed, special situations, and structured credit (CLO, CDO, ABS). Proven leadership in building collaborative, entrepreneurial teams and instilling a high‑performance culture. Analytical thinker with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Strong leadership, coaching, stakeholder management skills, and unquestioned integrity. Fluent in English and Italian; additional European languages (German, French, Spanish) highly valued. Execution‑first, ethical, collaborative; proven coordination with traders, research, and operations. Unquestionable integrity and commitment to compliance. /ppCompensation: Competitive base salary and high payout on gross commissions from day one.
