Come join our dedicated and caring team of professionals as a Medical Assistant III. With guidance and direction from our staff R.N. and L.V.N., the Medical Assistant will:
* Assist clinical staff at our primary care clinic in the delivery of health care to our clinic population.
* Interview patients, take vital signs, room patients for providers, and record services in patients' charts.
* Perform phlebotomy and tests for hemoglobin and one-touch blood sugar levels.
* Collect, process, and send paperwork and samples for laboratory processing.
* Perform in-clinic procedures for visual acuity, audiometry, baby sound check, etc.
* Provide immunizations, nebulizer/breathing treatments, Tylenol and antibiotics as ordered by our providers and per protocol.
* Assist with inventory maintenance of clinical stock and supplies, and order as needed.
* Provide pregnancy and contraceptive counseling.
* Assist with exams and translate between Spanish and English for providers as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned and within legal scope of practice.
