For our client Pirelli we are seeking for an Indirect Buyer. The resource will be part of the Global Procurement Function, in Marketing & Shared Services Category. The Global Marketing & Shared Services Category team is responsible for the development and implementation of the sourcing strategy, monitoring and leading sourcing and coordinating purchasing activities at a global level, including the management of global suppliers. As part of this team, your role will be to support the implementation of the strategy for Marketing & Shared Services spend, aligned with the needs of the stakeholders and the business. These categories include corporate services such as Media, Advertising, PR, Digital marketing, Market Research, Events and Car Rentals, Travels, Facility, Consultancies and Professional Services (not including Telco and IT). Your success will be primarily measured on: Stakeholder management, Savings/Cost Management, Strategic Project Management and Execution, Respect and implementation of Company policy, Value Creation and Innovation. - Analyzing market trends and research and select new suppliers - Managing tenders in different merchandise categories through the standard buying process, which requires sending offer requests, analysis and offers alignment with the internal stakeholder function, negotiation, and definition of the supply contract and activation of buying orders process. - Concluding the onboarding process and qualification of suppliers through company platform (Synertrade), keeping monitored the supplier status update. - Contributing to the decision-making process by logically presenting ideas to decision makers, being a strong logic thinker, using information to accurately make timely decisions. - Contributing to strategy development, including strategy coordination for related categories - Working with the stakeholders to identify spend areas and organize buying processes with the goal of identifying cost savings - Issuing RFx and analyzing best solutions, negotiating prices and commercial terms and conditions - Quickly acquiring knowledge in categories where there is limited internal knowledge - Supporting the internal reporting of results - Contracting negotiation and implementation, accompanying roll-out of new suppliers - Supplier Management and continuous evaluation/assessment of supplier performance, ensuring consistency of service, quality and compliance; - Leading projects and work cross functionally, with regional/global procurement teams - Supporting internal purchasing process - Interfacing with all levels of management in all regions, and all accountable functions (e.g. Legal, Tax, Administration, etc.). - Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Economics - 3 years’ experience in non-industrial indirect categories procurement - Knowledge of General Procurement principles and procedures, Procurement and Sourcing processes - Basic Contracting Knowledge, Accounting & Finance - Experience in an international manufacturing organization, preferably in FMCG - Practice in tender organization and cost saving projects - Solid Knowledge of SAP MM and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is mandatory, a plus if working with e-procurement platform (Synertrade). - Negotiation and effective communication (written and oral) - Ability to adapt and work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines - Strong autonomy - Strong analytical skills (tender management, cost analysis, scenario modelling) - Strong internal and external stakeholder management - Ability to interface with all accountable functions (e.g. Legal, Tax, Administration, etc.) - Fluent in Italian and English - Willingness to travel internationally, if requested.
