For an international company based in Bassano del Grappa (VI), specialized in the design and production of high-performance hardware products and software solutions, we are looking for a Buyer who will be responsible for purchasing components, raw materials, and sub-assemblies.
Mission
He / She will contribute to the implementation of strategies designed to improve business productivity, reduce material costs while enhancing profitability, quality, and innovation, supporting the company's growth. Drive direct material cost savings through specific sourcing initiatives.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
* Forge strong working relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders such as R&D, Quality, Finance, and Planning.
* Develop sourcing strategies for assigned goods categories in support of Business Strategy: definition, creation, implementation, and monitoring (PDCA).
* Perform detailed and robust spending analysis and define supply base strategies.
* Conduct benchmarking and marketplace analysis across assigned goods categories.
* Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships, defining KPIs and SLAs.
* Develop sustainability targets with key suppliers according to company policies.
* Define supplier performance metrics and evaluation methods (Vendor Rating).
* Conduct supplier audits.
* Support and involve in NPD (New Product Development) plans.
Skills and Experiences Required
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in structured manufacturing companies.
* Mechanical knowledge is preferable, though an Economics Degree is acceptable.
* Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and technical business requirements.
* Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and Kanban methodologies.
* Self-confident in negotiation, both internally and externally.
* Organized, proactive, reliable, with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Experience in risk mitigation, conflict resolution, coordination of internal/external teams, and problem-solving.
* Experience in benchmarking projects.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
* Fluent in English.
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office suite.
* Familiar with ERP systems and BI tools.
* Willingness to travel.
