PRINA is currently recruiting for a strongSenior Estimating Consultant /strong to join its office in Genova or Napoli, Italy within the strongCivil Engineering /strong Division. /ppstrongMission /strong /ppThe Senior Estimating Consultant is responsible for drafting survey and subdivision plats and technical specifications under the supervision of the Director of Survey. The role may involve matrix reporting to the Project Manager. The Project Surveyor oversees the technical work of Staff Surveyors and is involved in QA/QC and cost estimation processes. Responsibilities include traveling to project sites for geodetic control, topographic, utility, and boundary surveys, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with project team members, clients, contractors, and review agencies. /ppstrongKey Accountabilities /strong /ph3Cost Estimation /h3ulliConduct accurate and detailed cost estimates considering materials, labor, and overhead expenses. /liliCollaborate with project teams to develop realistic budget forecasts. /li /ulh3Budget Management /h3ulliMonitor and control project costs throughout all phases. /liliReport on cost variations and recommend cost-effective solutions. /li /ulh3Survey /h3ulliConduct site surveys using appropriate equipment. /liliSurvey land surfaces for precise measurements and locations. /liliPerform calculations to confirm survey data. /liliEnsure compliance with regulations, including boundary and legal issues. /liliSchedule and prioritize field activities to meet deadlines. /liliDraft survey plats and prepare descriptions. /liliReview project drawings. /li /ulh3Quantity Takeoff and Measurement /h3ulliPerform quantity takeoffs from drawings. /liliVerify and measure work on-site for progress and billing. /li /ulh3Contract Administration /h3ulliAssist in preparing and evaluating tender documents and contracts. /liliReview and negotiate contractual terms related to costs and quantities. /li /ulh3Documentation Reporting /h3ulliGenerate reports on project costs and performance. /liliAnalyze financial data with project managers. /liliMaintain engineering documents. /li /ulh3Risk Management /h3ulliIdentify and develop strategies for cost-related risks. /liliCoordinate with engineers and support staff for standards and code conformance. /liliEnsure safety, quality, and technical policies are followed. /liliCompile legal boundary reports. /li /ulh3Value Engineering /h3ulliExplore cost-effective design alternatives. /liliRecommend value engineering solutions. /li /ulpstrongQualifications /strong /pulliMinimum 4 years of surveying experience. /liliProficiency in cost estimation software and survey equipment. /liliFamiliarity with CAD and land development software. /liliUS candidates: FS exam or EIT certification preferred. /li /ulpstrongEducation /strong /ppBachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Civil Engineering, or related fields such as Engineering or Mathematics. /ppRINA is a multinational company providing services across various sectors including energy, marine, certification, infrastructure, industry, and RD.
