Role Overview American Express Italia is looking for a
Senior Risk Manager
to lead credit risk strategies and policies for new accounts. You are an experienced Credit Risk Manager, with experience working in financial institutions and managing Credit Risk in the first and/or second line.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Extensive experience in at least one of the key areas of Credit Risk (governance, regulation, policy, strategy, and modelling).
Knowledge of credit card regulatory environment and ability to lead teams to achieve full compliance.
Expertise in Credit Risk Frameworks and profitability optimization, with experience developing credit risk strategies.
Ability to define forward-looking credit risk insights and reporting to support strategic decisions.
Strong market knowledge and awareness of innovations in credit risk.
Proficiency in credit risk software packages, including SQL and Python (SAS considered a plus).
Leadership qualities: coaching, independent decision-making, leading by example.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficient in English and Italian.
Bachelor's Degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or physics.
