About the Company : For a multinational market leader in consumer electronics, our Recruitment Engineers are looking for a Software Engineer AS400.
Core Responsibilities :
You will work in the applications domain, focusing on designing, building, testing, and maintaining scalable and stable technology solutions that integrate with our core business platforms. The main focus will be on AS400 and SAP Retail ERP systems. You will collaborate with multiple business departments to ensure seamless system integration and efficiency. Your contributions will include:
* Participate in the entire implementation process for new applications and enhancements to existing ones;
* Provide input on overall solution architecture, with a focus on AS400 and future SAP Retail migration;
* Coordinate with suppliers to build and test applications;
* Meet with business partners to understand their needs;
* Conduct root cause analysis and perform basic performance tuning;
* Ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Must Have :
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field;
* 5-10 years of experience in software development, system integration, and ERP solutions;
* Strong expertise in AS400;
* Knowledge of the software development life cycle;
* Experience with UML;
* 3-4 years of experience in a similar position;
* Expertise in retail system integration and application delivery, with a technical proficiency and business mindset;
* Experience in retail and omnichannel operations;
* Team player with a collaborative attitude and a client-first approach;
* Detail-oriented, rational, and able to work under tight deadlines;
* Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have :
* Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems;
* Knowledge of the retail market.
