Within the kdc/one Scented & Living Solutions' Business Intelligence team, the Market Intelligence Specialist plays a pivotal role in keeping stakeholders ahead of the market. The role is responsible for building, operating and continuously raising the quality of the division's market intelligence function, evolving it from descriptive reporting towards deeper analytical depth, sharper foresight and more predictive intelligence. This includes competitive intelligence across the full value chain, from competitor manufacturing footprint and production capabilities to product portfolio and go-to-market strategies.
The role identifies, synthesizes and communicates the most relevant news, competitor moves, emerging trends and consumer insights, enabling pragmatic commercial and strategic decisions on new customers and markets, product portfolio and internal capabilities. It directly supports Business Development initiatives and the Division's Long Range Plan targets across geographies.
A strong ability to transform complex data into clear and compelling messages using Power BI and other visualization tools is essential, ensuring insights are communicated in a simple, relevant and engaging way for different stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze and interpret market data, consumer trends and competitor activities across the full value chain, from manufacturing capabilities to commercial strategies. Use syndicated sources (e.g. MIntel, IRI, Circana) to continuously refine analytical frameworks and generate sharper, more forward-looking insights.
