We are seeking an experienced Italian-speaking Commissioning Manager to join a major data centre project in Milan.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the commissioning activities across electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring the facility is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest operational standards.
This role is ideal for a commissioning professional with strong data centre experience who can work effectively with international stakeholders while operating confidently in an Italian-speaking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full commissioning lifecycle for data centre systems (Electrical & Mechanical)
Develop, review, and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
Coordinate commissioning activities with contractors, vendors, consultants, and client teams
Ensure systems are commissioned in line with project specifications, design intent, and industry standards
Oversee integrated systems testing (IST) and support handover to operations
Identify and resolve commissioning issues, risks, and non-conformances
Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed accurately and handed over correctly
Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and quality throughout all activities
Provide regular progress reports to project leadership and the client
Requirements
Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on data centre projects
Strong knowledge of critical systems (HV/LV, UPS, generators, BMS, cooling systems, etc.)
Ability to manage complex commissioning programs in a fast-paced environment
Fluent Italian (spoken and written) is essential
Good working proficiency in English
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
Right to work in Italy / EU
