The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, verification, and validation of electronic hardware solutions for railway safety‐critical systems, contributing to high‐performance, reliable, and compliant products throughout the full product lifecycle.Main activities Design and develop analog and digital electronic boards for embedded railway systemsDesign and implement the FW/SW necessary for HW component tests – or specify the software to be developed by the FW/SW designerDefine hardware architecture and select electronic componentsCreate and review schematics, BOMs, and hardware technical documentationSupport PCB layout activities in collaboration with layout engineersExecute and support hardware verification and validation activities (functional, environmental, EMC tests)Contribute to safety and reliability analyses in compliance with railway standardsSupport industrialization, production issues, and field troubleshootingCollaborate with Firmware, System Engineering, RAMS, V&V, Quality, and Industrial teamsEducational Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic EngineeringSolid knowledge of analog and digital electronicsExperience with embedded systems and microcontrollersKnowledge of communication buses (e.g. CAN, SPI, I2C, MVB, Ethernet)Knowledge of international regulations (EN50155; EN45545, EN50467, MIL‐HDBK 217F, IEC62380 and IEC61709)Knowledge of VHDL and C codeExperience in PLD/FPGA (Altera‐Lattice) programmingFamiliarity with hardware design tools (e.g. Altium, OrCAD or equivalent)Basic knowledge of railway or safety‐critical standards (e.g. EN 50126 / 50128 / 50129) is a plusAbility to produce clear and structured technical documentationGood oral communication skillsGood written and spoken English communication skillsAbility to work in multidisciplinary and international teamsAbility to work with remote collaboratorsInternational mindsetContract Type Permanent contract (Full‐time)You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
