Our team comprises of chartered loss adjusters, engineers, surveyors, insurance practitioners, arbitrators, mediators, lawyers, registered expert witnesses, and chartered accountants. Leveraging a global, multi-disciplinary approach to major losses, we deliver solutions for complex, high-value cases with a positive and proactive mindset, regardless of size. /ppFor more information, please visit /ppbThe Role : Key Responsibilities /b /ppIn this role, the candidate will be responsible about the Italian local accounting of our branch based in Milan. It will require weekly travel to our Italian offices or as and when required. /pulliGeneral Ledger /li /ulpPreparing, issuing and registering all Italian invoices (including those of contractors and their expenses), CEE and extra invoices where required /pliRegistration of bank statements including Desio, Credem, Intesa EUR, Intesa USD; Unicredit, Nexi cards and Barclays cards /liliCalculation of VAT and withholding taxes /liliQuarterly and annual VAT communication /liliCertification of withholding taxes for contractors /liliKeeping of company books and VAT registers /liliVerification of costs for Italian offices balancing (including contractors) /liliWorking on invoicing systems in Charles Taylor namely, Intrastat and Esterometro /liliFinance /lipbPayment of Italian office rents (monthly and quarterly) /b /pliPayment of taxes : VAT, withholding tax, company taxes, waste tax for all offices, stamp duty on invoicing, tax on certification of company books /liliPayment of contractors’ and suppliers’ invoices /liliPayment of salaries /liliPayment of intercompany invoices when other IES offices require support /liliReporting /lipbWorking capital report once a week for CTA Italy and Sweden /b /pliCashflow once a week for CTA Italy and Sweden /liliPreparing monthly management reports including fee earners performance, client data, office / lines of business performance, ad hoc financial data (e.g. WIP) /liliMonthly Closing /lipbAccrual of assets /b /pliAccrual of utilities and services /liliPrepayments /liliCheck invoicing file with reconciliation /liliAged debtor /liliBank reconciliations /liliPayroll including 13th / 14th accruals and TFR /liliReconciliation Barclays cards /liliBooking of contractors’ s costs and WIP communicated by London /liliAnnual Closing /lipVerification of all the accounts with adjustment and settlement entries /pli3 audits with the Auditor /lilipreparation of statutory financial statements for tax calculation and filing including a verification of all foreign IES financial statements /lipbRequired Skills /b /pliBSc in Accounting or Finance (Economia e Commercio), or a diploma in Accounting (Ragioneria). /liliPrior experience in Accounting (contabilità generale) or working for an Auditor (Commercialista). /liliAvailability to work in the Milan office and, where required, other Group offices in Italy. /liliBilingual, fluent in both Italian and English, both speaking, reading, and writing. /liliExcellent communication skills both verbal and written. /liliGood team player also ability to work independently. /liliStrong interpersonal / people skills. /lipbWhy join Charles Taylor? /b /ppCharles Taylor prides itself on being a people-centric business.
