We are looking for two Commissioning Leads to join our team for an energy transition project in Italy.
MISSION
The selected candidates will be responsible for managing and coordinating commissioning activities for process and utility systems in a large-scale industrial energy transition project. They will ensure the safe and efficient handover of facilities from construction to operations, overseeing all phases from pre-commissioning through start-up. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
TASKS
* Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules in line with project requirements.
* Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control systems).
* Supervise contractors and subcontractors during functional testing, equipment start-up, and performance verification.
* Ensure proper implementation of commissioning procedures and adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Lead system walkdowns, punch list management, and progress tracking in collaboration with construction and operations teams.
* Review and validate commissioning documentation, including method statements, ITRs, test sheets, and turnover dossiers.
* Troubleshoot operational and technical issues during commissioning and liaise with engineering to resolve design-related matters.
* Facilitate smooth handover to operations, ensuring readiness for start-up and long-term reliability.
* Report commissioning progress, risks, and deviations to project management.
* Promote safety culture and enforce compliance with HSE regulations during all commissioning phases.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field).
* Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with prior commissioning leadership experience.
* Solid understanding of commissioning processes in large industrial facilities (energy, refining, petrochemical, power, or CO₂-related projects).
* Strong knowledge of international standards (API, ASME, IEC, ISO) and commissioning best practices.
* Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
CONTRACT DETAILS
* Location: Milan, Italy (base office) with frequent missions to sites.
* Working Hours:
Milan office / remote: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
Sites: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week
* Contract Duration: 12 months, extendable
* Availability: Immediate (ASAP)
