Careers that Change Lives This position serves as a Project Business Partner providing Finance support to the Country Finance Director and to the local management team in Italy. We are seeking an Accountant/Analyst with business acumen and functional and controlling expertise, with project management experience to support business initiatives, drive financial results, deliver finance functional excellence. As the Project partner of Medtronic Italy, you will support the Country Finance Director in financial management and project management, to ensure financial objectives and process improvement are achieved. You will also ensure that fiduciary responsibilities are fulfilled through accurate financials, sound governance and compliant practices in the organization. This role will partner closely with other local functions as well as the FSSC and CoE teams and OUs. This role reports to the Country Finance Director, Italy A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Business Partnering - Support Country Finance Director in financial management to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) financial targets and long-term strategic objectives - Development of business cases & financial projections - Active participation in cross-functional initiatives and supporting the Country Finance Director and the Controller to drive cross-OUs process improvement and resources optimization - Be a proactive business partner to the country business management team, playing a key advisor role in business strategy formulation and implementation, organization performance measurement - Support Country Finance Director by taking an active role to define new business models, evaluate investment opportunities, risk assessment, design operating plan and monitor and measure performance to bring financial results - Support Country Finance Director by bringing a strong understanding of Free Cash Flow to the Italian business leadership and ensure that targets are achieved through strong working capital and P&L management - Support Country Finance Director in bringing insight on business drivers, dynamics and impacts and advise the management team through data and facts driven analysis and well-informed decision-making practice - Responsible for Italy management reporting Finance Operation, Control and Compliance - Drive local compliance by supporting local controlling organization with accounting activities - Identify process improvement initiatives and implement them in liaison with the FSSC and CoEs and Region Controller to ensure finance operation efficiency and effectiveness - Ensure compliance with revenue recognition principles and Medtronic Accounting policies - Support agent management process Must Haves: Autonomy: Performs work without appreciable direction. Education and Experience: Requires an Accounting qualification and/or University Degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience of working within a multinational corporation and within a complex matrix structure is highly beneficial and requested. Technical knowledge: strong financial and accounting knowledge. Broad perspective and business acumen with strong analytical skills. Project Management skills.
