Cloud Platform Operations Engineer – AWS
The Cloud Platform Operations Engineer – AWS is responsible for the hands‐on operation of the imaging & informatics cloud platform. Cloud Platform Operations Engineers are the operational backbone of the CloudOps organization. Once a product has met operational readiness requirements, this team is responsible for provisioning infrastructure, deploying cloud services, configuring AWS resources, and maintaining the operational health of the environment.
Your Role
Ensure day-to-day operation, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and platform services with high reliability and uptime.
Work closely with Cloud Operations Readiness Lead, product engineering teams, and service organization to ensure stable production environments.
Develop expertise in AWS operations, infrastructure‐as‐code, automation, and monitoring, contributing to platform scalability and operational efficiency improvements.
Provision and manage AWS infrastructure and platform services, including configuration, scaling, patching, and upgrades.
Monitor environments and troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve critical incidents to ensure service continuity.
You're The Right Fit If You Have
5–10 years in cloud/platform operations, strong hands‐on experience with AWS production environments and incident management.
Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, monitoring), infrastructure‐as‐code (Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, scripting (Python/Bash), and production troubleshooting.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog), and strong automation mindset with focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
