About this role
As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer within the Content Analytics team at Audible, you will serve as a data‑driven decision enabler for senior Content leadership and as the analytics conduit for European Content teams. You will design, implement and optimise reporting processes that deliver critical KPIs and business insights across the organization, translating loosely defined problems into actionable narratives. Your deep expertise in the Content business will help anticipate leadership questions and maintain data governance while making insights accessible through self‑service data solutions.

You excel at cross‑functional collaboration, translating requirements into robust analytical frameworks, and you thrive in ambiguous situations while improving data processes. Your communication skills enable you to distil complex analyses into compelling insights for both technical and executive audiences. You build trusted relationships with stakeholders to influence decision‑making.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and optimise BI solutions that track KPIs and support business and executive reporting.
* Develop dashboards that enable self‑serve access to data, ensuring speed, reliability and scalability.
* Break down high‑level metrics into components and leading indicators for monthly and quarterly reviews.
* Proactively anticipate leadership questions and develop analyses and visualisations to address emerging business needs.
* Automate key contributing dimensions to metric variance for faster root‑cause analysis.
* Create concise, impactful data visualisations that communicate trends and insights to executive audiences.
* Bridge analysis with content business knowledge, keeping abreast of industry trends in books and digital media.
* Document technical implementation with business context so both technical and non‑technical stakeholders understand methodologies.
* Communicate findings and insights clearly, concisely and actionably.
* Balance stakeholder requirements with technical constraints, maintaining focus on long‑term solutions.
* Advocate for data governance, ensuring consistency in metric definitions and data quality.
* Partner with data scientists, engineers, product managers and business leaders to align reporting with strategic objectives.
* Invest in stakeholder relationships to build trust and influence business decisions.
* Serve as the analytics conduit for European Content teams, facilitating analyses and insights to the Global team.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.
* 7+ years of relevant experience in a data‑driven/analytical role, or 5+ years with an advanced/technical degree in Analytics, Business, Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Sciences (Political or Natural) or similar field.
* 2+ years of Content‑related experience, ideally with audiobooks, physical books and/or other digital media.
* Experience running projects across multiple functions with diverse stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting executive reporting and business reviews.
* Ability to work in ambiguous situations with limited guidance.
* Ability to work an adjusted or flexible schedule that accommodates US meeting times.
* Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
* Track record of process improvement initiatives that enhanced data accessibility or quality.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
