We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team on a Maternity cover fixed term contract.The roleThe Finance Manager will be responsible for driving the Financial Reporting / Budgets and overseeing internal financial controls. With your great leadership and communication skills, you will be responsible for the management of the Italian accounts team, as well as building relationships with our budget holders. With a hands on, meticulous approach you will be responsible for monthly sign off of management accounts and cashflow, as well as supporting process improvement and systems implementation, with a variety of ad hoc tasks and projects as they become relevant. The role would suit a qualified accountant with a good understanding of retail operations, who is seeking increased responsibility within a thriving business.Key Responsibilities
Supporting the chief accountant and collaborating with the local finance team.Review and submission of the monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow results and forecast, including variance analysis and supportive commentary, all completed within group timelines.Lead the budget and re-forecast process in collaboration with budget holders.Implement, monitor and improve necessary financial controls with a focus on effectiveness, balanced with business needs.Continuous improvement in all financial processes and relevant systems.Preparation of annual statutory accounts, assisting Group Finance and handling queries related to year-end adjustments & disclosures.Support the annual audit and represent external auditors.Ensure accuracy and completeness of control accounts and processes, accurate postings of costs and income.Assist with ad hoc projects as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Management experience.5+ years in a Finance role.Capable of establishing strong working relationships and credibility with senior Lush individuals and Group Finance.Must be able to drive change and have a 'can do' attitude.Strong analytical approach.Meticulous with detail while seeing the bigger picture.Comfortable with changing deadlines and strategic changes.
