The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineer to deliver and support data center building automation systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). CDS Engineers work to deploy and service building automation systems to ensure the health of our data centers. A CDS Engineer may oversee deployment of a new BMS or EPMS as part of a new data center build, deliver projects to upgrade an existing data center owned or leased by Amazon, or deliver projects to upgrade colocated data centers with Amazon hardware. A CDS Engineer may also be required to provide local servicing expertise to our fleet or data centers in your region, and occasionally assist with global support. Success in this role requires partnering effectively with many teams at Amazon, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering teams, as well as maintaining strong relationships with our vendors.
Key job responsibilities
* Deployment of data center controls on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO)
* Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automation
* Service and support provided to partner teams, diagnosing and resolving Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting events, and resolving tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
* Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers or our operations procedures

About the team
The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia‑Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team delivers and services the control systems that monitor and ensure the health of our data centers. APAC CDS’ mission is to safely provide our customers with the unmatched reliability, security, and performance that AWS is known for. The team covers deployments, projects, service, colo, on‑call support, and management across six business domains. Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
* Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
* Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience
* Knowledge of critical data center equipment
* Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures
* Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
* Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
* Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure
* Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains
