Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversees the Housekeeping Department and allocates the available resources to achieve the organizational goals
- Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform
- Organize inventories with accounts and general stores for linen, uniform and fixed assets
- Develop and implement Housekeeping systems and procedures
- Assist Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping
- Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously
- Organize on-the job training and evaluate its effectiveness
- Recommend recruitment of new personnel
- Evaluates the job performance of housekeeping staff & fills their appraisals
- Proficiently performs all tasks related to Housekeeping
- Feed, monitors and acts upon all reports related to housekeeping and laundry
- Maintains coordination & good communication with other
Core Competencies
- Fluent in English & Italian is a must
- 2+ years of hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong operational/technical knowledge
- Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
- Flexible schedule - long hours and regular evening event coverage is common
- Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests
- Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aethos Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
- A team player with strong leadership and organizational skills
