About the Role
As an
FPGA Designer, you will join the R&D Digital Design team and contribute to the development of FPGA/ASIC-based processing modules for broadband telecom systems — including packet processing, synchronization, and timing architectures.
You will transform system-level requirements into efficient, high-performance logic implementations, working closely with system engineering, hardware, and embedded firmware teams.
This role offers hands-on involvement across the full FPGA development lifecycle: architecture definition, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and hardware validation.
Responsibilities
Analyse algorithmic and logic-level requirements and define efficient hardware implementations.
Contribute to the definition and documentation of functional specifications for FPGA/ASIC logic blocks.
Design, simulate, and verify digital circuits using HDL (VHDL or Verilog).
Implement and optimize digital processing functions in FPGA/ASIC devices, ensuring:
Resource efficiency
Timing closure
Functional robustness
Participate in laboratory bring-up and hardware validation activities.
Support embedded firmware teams during FPGA–software integration.
Collaborate with system and validation teams to resolve integration issues.
Key Requirements
Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering
1–3 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC design flows
Strong knowledge of digital circuit design using VHDL or Verilog
Experience with programmable logic platforms (Xilinx/AMD or Altera)
Understanding of:
Data processing algorithms
Phase and frequency synchronization
Telecom-oriented signal chains
Good written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
Programming skills in C, TCL, or Python.
Experience with timing analysis, constraint definition, and synthesis optimization.
Familiarity with simulation tools (ModelSim, Questa, XSIM).
Exposure to high-speed interfaces and related constraints.
Understanding of embedded architectures interacting with FPGA logic.
Basic laboratory skills for digital hardware validation.
Why Join Us?
Innovative Projects. You will engage with industry-leading technologies in a company deeply committed to 5G/6G, AI and digital advancements.
Global Impact. Your work will support major networks worldwide, contributing to connectivity and digital transformation on a global scale.
