Retail Merchandising Analysis & Planning Manager
The Retail Merchandising Analysis & Planning Manager supports the EMEA Head of Merchandising and the entire Merchandising team by performing cross-category analyses needed for defining retail merchandising activities. He/she will be responsible for weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales and stock analysis, primarily forecasting at the category level.
Job responsibilities
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Business Analysis
* Perform analyses for all categories (RTW Men, Women & Kids, Accessories, Shoes) at the EMEA level related to sell-in / sell-out, sell-through, product best performers, slow movers, growth, etc.
* Provide suggestions and alerts to retail merchandisers or recommendations regarding sales trends.
* Create presentations and reports to summarize category trends and performance, supporting decision-making.
* Assist the retail merchandising team during buying campaigns with strategic pre-buy and post-buy presentations.
* Develop analyses on store sales performance, sell-out, and sell-through rates.
Planning & Forecasting
* Lead forecasting for permanent and carry-over items based on sales trends, investment, and product strategy.
* Support merchandisers with style-level forecasting and facilitate forecasting meetings with the central team, ensuring forecasts are entered into the planning tools.
* Manage a team of 3 Inventory Stock Allocators to support in-season merchandise movement.
Profile
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Merchandiser/Buyer, Sales Analyst, or similar role with strong analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel); experience with BO, BI, & Anaplan is preferred.
* Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills in sales performance and product reporting/feedback.
* Experience in the luxury industry is a plus.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
* Based in or willing to relocate to Milan.
