About the role
PT Hookah Place Partnership is seeking an experienced LEADER OF JAPANESE CUISINES to join our dynamic team in Badung Bali. As our new Chef, you will play a crucial role in crafting and delivering exceptional Japanese culinary experiences for our guests. This is a full‑time position.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Japanese dishes to the highest standards
- Designing and updating the menu to showcase seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Supervising and training kitchen staff to uphold our culinary excellence
- Collaborating with the front‑of‑house team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in Japanese cuisine
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3‑5 years of experience as a chef specialising in Japanese cuisine
- Formal culinary training or certification in Japanese cooking techniques
- Strong knowledge of Japanese ingredients, flavours, and cooking methods
- Excellent time management, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
- Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing Japanese dishes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high food safety standards
