DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists with the checking in of guests as per existing Front Office policies and regulations
2. Answers the telephone, screens and directs calls
3. Takes and relays messages to guests correctly and promptly
4. Provides requested information to callers
5. Greets people entering the hotel
6. Directs guests or any other visitors to the correct department
7. Deals with queries from both the public and hotel guests
8. Performs general administrative and clerical support
9. Receives and sorts mail and deliveries
10. Schedules any necessary appointments
11. Ensures that Reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times
12. Assists in guests’ check-out and knows how to settle guests’ accounts either by cash or credit card
13. Informs guests of hotel and general information regarding restaurants etc
14. Offers wake up services, orders taxi transfers as and when required.
15. Able to operate the telephone call center
16. Adhere to Hotel’s standards, policies and procedures and to have a complete understanding of the policies; including Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety
17. Ensure that duties are carried in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’ rules and regulations and the Cyprus Law
18. Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Front Office Manager
CANDIDATE PROFILE
19. Previous experience as a Receptionist at a 5* Hotel
20. Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage
21. Pleasant, honest and friendly personality
22. Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
23. Computer Literate
24. The ability to cope under pressure
25. Problem-solving ability, to resolve issues as they arise
26. Excellent interpersonal skills in handling guest complaints
