Position Overview:
Join a dynamic Acute Care/Academic Medical Center in Syracuse as aCritical Care Registered Nurse. Deliver high-level care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced skills and technology to support critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients.
* Monitor and interpret complex patient data and vital signs.
* Operate and manage specialized critical care equipment.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
* Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team.
* Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in EPIC.
* Respond rapidly and effectively to emergencies.
* Educate patients and families.
Qualifications:
* Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
* Licensure:Active New York State RN License; Current BLS & PALS certifications (ACLS preferred).
* Experience:Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center.
* Technical Skills:Strong EMR experience (EPIC proficiency essential).
* Soft Skills:Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
