Finance Project Manager
Purpose of the job:
The Project Controller is responsible for the financial management and control of a project portfolio. At this level, he/she operates with full autonomy on large projects and may supervise a team of project controllers managing a portfolio of large and complex projects. Acts as the financial support and representative for the project manager, ensuring financial transparency of the project.
Key Accountabilities
1. Ensure project accounting complies with company guidelines.
2. Organize project reviews from start to finish of each contract; manage controlling and financial reporting in accordance with internal control rules.
3. Guarantee the accuracy and sincerity of project financial reports in sector reviews, respecting Alstom rules.
4. Support the project manager and other project functions as a finance partner.
5. Prepare project review content and periodic financial presentations with the project team.
6. Understand project documents and systems; actively manage financial implications.
7. Produce all requested financial reports (forecast, cash flow, revenue, gross margin).
8. Ensure robust implementation of financial processes and internal controls, including DoA.
9. Coordinate with local finance teams for onshore projects.
10. Maintain full knowledge of all financial movements within the project scope; ensure proper reporting and reconcile project results and balance sheet positions.
11. Manage interfaces with other functions such as tax, treasury, insurance, and contract management.
12. Ensure consistency of all claims in project financials and assess risks and opportunities accurately.
13. Provide management with reliable financial data to support decision-making.
14. Conduct ad hoc reporting and investigations as needed.
15. Maintain alignment with project teams on planning, sourcing, and other aspects.
Responsibilities:
* Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field (accounting, finance, business administration, economics).
* 2-3 years experience in controlling large multinational construction projects.
* Experience in project accounting and contract management.
* Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
* Strong analytical skills for forecasting.
* Excellent communication, coordination, integrity, and resilience.
