Together, we can make an impact!Job ScopeThe job consists in providing all required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively, in accordance to procedures and health and safety guidelines.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure equipments maintenance (calibration and cleaning) and documentation record in accordance with QA and EH&S requirementsMonitoring of consumable and reagent stocksOrder of consumables and reagentsSupport aliquoting and labelling of reagents and reagents preparationSupport Quality department for Internal/External Audit preparationSupport in quality maintenance of laboratory related documentationPlan and report activities together with the reference managerCommunicate and liaise with other departmentsOrganize collection of deliveries and shipment of reagents to other sites if necessaryWork as part of the R&D team on the day-to-day lab activities (laboratory cleaning, RNA/DNA extractions, PCR/RT-PCR, cell culture)Carry out real time stability testing or incoming testing of raw materialEducation, Experience, and QualificationsThird Level Degree in a relevant Scientific disciplinePreferred in Biology and BiotechnologyExperience:Preferred at least 3 years in scientific laboratories (biology and biotechnology)Seasoned experience in organizing a scientific laboratories in terms of provisions of consumables and reagents ordersKnowledge of good molecular laboratory practicePreferred experience in cell culturesPreferred experience in DNA/RNA extraction and nucleic acids amplification techniquesSeasoned experience using Microsoft Power Point, Word and ExcelSkills:Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and work with R&D team and other departmentsGood organizational and communication and interpersonal skillsInterdisciplinary thought and quality awarenessGood problem solving and decision-making skillsPrevious experience in leading junior lab technicians in day-to-day activitiesWell-organized with ability to work well independently and as part of a teamHigh commitment, self-motivation and flexibilityLanguages:Good spoken and written EnglishTravel availability:Some travel may be requiredEqual Opportunity and ComplianceDiasorin is an equal opportunity employer.
