As an In‐House Paralegal, you will support our Italian Solvay team, focusing on law compliance and corporate housekeeping in collaboration with the functions and the businesses representatives in Italy. You will contribute to managing our portfolio of Italian subsidiaries and assisting with various legal operations and issues, having a positive impact within the Solvay Group.
Legal support:
Assist with day‐to‐day legal‐related matters, providing administrative support (creation of documents, note‐taking, correspondence, etc.)Ensure compliance with legal, administrative, regulatory formalities (e.g. UBO, KYC forms, public tenders documentation, self‐declarations, "antiriciclaggio", white‐list filings and updates, filing of documents at the Chamber of Commerce, authentications, etc.)Support the implementation and maintenance of legal technologies and case management systems in collaboration with the Legal Operations initiatives and the Group Legal Operations team.
Legal research:
Conduct legal research on Italian and/or European legislation and legal doctrine.Monitor changes in Italian and EU legislation relevant to the Group's business, with special reference to HSE regulations.
Corporate housekeeping & entities management:
Manage and maintain the corporate records and documents for the Group's Italian based entities (articles of association, powers of attorney, board resolutions, shareholder minutes, etc.).Coordinate corporate filings and publications with local legal entity registers.
Contract support:
Draft and review standardised contractual documents (e.g. simple letters, drafts of agreements with Public Authorities – like "atti d'obbligo" or "convenzioni", NDAs, and service contracts) under the supervision of a Legal Counsel.Ensure efficient filing and management of the contractual documents.
Stakeholder support:
Prepare and supervise commercial relationships with external lawyers (including RfQ, engagement letter, etc.).Process legal invoices and assist with budget tracking.Act as the key contact for external notaries and sometimes law firms.Process expense reports and manage the schedule and logistics for Legal Team meetings, ensuring proper follow‐up.
We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode (remote could be a possibility).About YouRelevant education degree or equivalent in Law (or Legal Studies) or a recognised Paralegal/Legal Assistant Certificate is required. Relevant work experience (5 years) in a (Para)legal or similar function, ideally in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Italian legal principles and the Italian judicial and administrative organisation.Language Skills: Fluency, written and verbally, in English and Italian.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Personal Aptitudes: Excellent team‐working capacity and organisational skills.High degree of rigor/accuracy, autonomy and the ability to manage priorities.Confidentiality: Absolute adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality rules.
About the Pay
Base pay expected for this role is €42,960 – €53,700 per year in Italy (your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on skills and experience).Bonus and/or other incentives as part of a competitive total rewards package.
