Why This Role Matters
As a Senior Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring that Goodyear Fleet Solutions operates as a cohesive, scalable, and reliable end-to-end platform. You connect product vision with real-world execution by translating complex requirements into integrated system behavior across hardware, software, and cloud environments. Your work directly impacts the performance and reliability of solutions deployed in demanding fleet operations. By driving system-level thinking, validation, and continuous improvement, you help deliver safe and high-performing solutions to customers. This role sits at the heart of innovation, integration, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
* Translate product goals and stakeholder needs into clear, testable system requirements and acceptance criteria.
* Lead requirements elicitation and maintain full traceability across system and component levels.
* Contribute to system architecture discussions and ensure cross-domain alignment (hardware, embedded, cloud).
* Define system interfaces and support integration readiness across subsystems.
* Develop and execute system-level verification and validation strategies and test plans.
* Support end-to-end testing, ensuring coverage and alignment with system requirements.
* Lead or support root cause analysis for complex, cross-domain issues in live fleet environments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Operations, Suppliers) to drive solutions and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
* 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, system integration, or end-to-end validation in complex environments (automotive, mobility, IoT, or embedded systems).
* Strong experience working across hardware, embedded software, and cloud-connected systems.
* Solid understanding of vehicle systems, telematics platforms, and sensor integration (TPMS is a plus).
* Knowledge of CAN bus, SAE J1939, LIN, and vehicle diagnostics standards.
* Experience with system-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and fleet/real-world operations support.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C, or C++).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and modern software development/QA practices.
* Proactive, structured, and collaborative mindset with the ability to work in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
