As CAE’s Simulator Technician Internship, you will join our experience Team based in Sesto Calende, in Lombardy - Italy, working on advanced level simulators that are preparing the new generation of pilots, but also keep updated the more expert one. Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training center, your role will be incredibly varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of the most modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge and learn your future career from zero.
It is a 24/7 operations the shift pattern will be 4 Days On & 4 Days Off, alternating Days and Nights Shifts, so you will be working in the following schedule:
4 Days Shift + 4 Days Off + 4 Nights Shift + 4 Days Off and then all over again on 365 years round calendar.
Day Shift is from 07:00 to 19:00 = 11 hours of paid work + 1 hour for unpaid lunch break
Night Shift is from 19:00 to 07:00 = 11 hours of paid work + 1 hour for unpaid dinner break
Lunch or Dinner on duty will be offered from the Company at the Internal Canteen.

In this role, the Internship Simulator Technician will learn how our Expert Technician:
* Prepare the Simulation Training Equipment for daily operation for each training device, based on the published monthly schedules.
* Loads appropriate exercise scenarios and other tasks required to prepare for specific training sessions, while also completing Journey Logs at the start and finish of scheduled training sessions.
* Receive training and perform easy assignments in office, on site, field, and laboratory.
* Some projects may be of experimental or design nature.
* Solve a variety of complex simulator and/or aircraft systems problems.
And you will learn and test of to do it yourself as well.
Your knowledge will start for a complete unexperienced level, and you will be able to:
* Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
* Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
* Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
* Help in completing all designated training activities.
* Assist to perform pre-flight and post flight operations on designated simulators.
* Perform basic visual alignments.
* Help in running automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
* Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
* Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
* Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
* Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
* Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
* Perform administrative tasks as required.
* Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required
Our ideal candidate has:
* College Diploma preferably in any of the following:
Electronics / Mechatronics / Aeronautics / Mechanics
College Diploma is a must, but candidates ideally must have also some hands-on technical experience, particularly if they have no transferable educational background.
* Interested in working on Flexible Shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
* Basic ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
* Some idea of how to prepare operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
* Some Basic Knowledge in analogue and digital theory.
* Computer literate (PC and/or Computer Mainframe / Architecture).
* Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
* Some Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
* Fluency in English and / or Italian

Come Tirocinante / Apprendista Tecnico di Simulatore presso CAE, entrerai a far parte del nostro team esperto con sede a Sesto Calende, Lombardia, lavorando su simulatori di volo avanzati che preparano la nuova generazione di piloti e mantengono aggiornati anche i più esperti.
Grazie all’ampia gamma di simulatori presenti nel nostro centro di addestramento, il tuo ruolo sarà estremamente vario, offrendoti l’opportunità di lavorare su sistemi e attrezzature all’avanguardia per accrescere le tue competenze tecniche e costruire la tua carriera da zero.
L’attività si svolge su turni 24/7 con il seguente schema:
4 giorni di lavoro + 4 giorni di riposo + 4 notti di lavoro + 4 giorni di riposo, ripetuto durante tutto l’anno.
* Turno diurno: 07:00 – 19:00 → 11 ore lavorative retribuite + 1 ora di pausa pranzo non retribuita
* Turno notturno: 19:00 – 07:00 → 11 ore lavorative retribuite + 1 ora di pausa cena non retribuita
Il pranzo o la cena durante il turno saranno offerti dall’azienda presso la mensa interna.

* Preparano l’attrezzatura di simulazione per le operazioni quotidiane, secondo i programmi mensili.
* Caricano gli scenari di esercitazione e completano i registri di bordo all’inizio e alla fine delle sessioni.
* Ricevono formazione e svolgono compiti semplici in ufficio, sul campo e in laboratorio.
* Partecipano a progetti sperimentali o di progettazione.
* Risolvono problemi complessi relativi ai simulatori o ai sistemi aeronautici.

Competenze che svilupperai:
* Manutenzione preventiva dei simulatori e dei sistemi associati.
* Diagnosi e risoluzione dei problemi tecnici.
* Utilizzo del sistema di gestione della manutenzione.

* Allineamenti visivi di base.
* Esecuzione di test automatici (QTG).
* Supporto in modifiche hardware e ristrutturazioni.

* Pulizia e manutenzione dei simulatori.
* Gestione logistica (ricezione pezzi, riparazioni, test).

Il candidato ideale possiede:
* Diploma: Elettronica / Meccatronica / Aeronautica / Meccanica
* (Diploma di scuola superiore è obbligatorio, ma è preferibile avere anche esperienza pratica, in particolare in assenza di una formazione tecnica specifica.)
* Disponibilità a lavorare su turni flessibili.
* Capacità base di interpretare schemi elettrici e disegni tecnici.
* Conoscenza base di strumenti di test (oscilloscopio, multimetro, generatore di segnali, analizzatore logico, ecc.).
* Conoscenze base di teoria analogica e digitale.
* Competenze informatiche (PC e/o architettura di sistemi).
* Abilità nella saldatura e riparazione di circuiti stampati.
* Conoscenza base del pacchetto Microsoft Office.
* Conoscenza fluente della lingua inglese e/o italiana.
