As the Senior Field Service Engineer, your role will be to support our customers (mainly pharma and chemical plants) by delivering activities required for maintenance, troubleshooting, incident resolution, technical support, system upgrades, warranty services, training, and executing configuration and/or modifications on call services to our DCS. You will become part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps our customers carry out maintenance, improve security and reliability, and boost performance of their DeltaV DCS systems. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Perform tasks for system maintenance and performance evaluations.
* Provide technical support to customers, lead investigations, and recommend solutions.
* Offer remote (phone, internet) technical support for DeltaV DCS system users.
* Be willing and able to perform on-call shift-based services (if applicable) and emergency callouts to ensure fast and efficient customer support.
* Assist in design studies, hardware and software upgrades, and modifications.
* Support project activities at customer sites, including system installation and application programming.
* Provide onsite customer training for Emerson products.
* Get trained on the latest technologies and products related to your services.
Minimum Requirements:
* Technical diploma or degree in engineering fields such as electronics, automation, computer science, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
* Knowledge of IT & networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, programming, software, operating systems, Active Directory, patch management, backup, and recovery.
* Good communication skills and proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
* Experience in the process industry, such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil & gas, or refineries.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with DCS or PLC applications, with knowledge of DeltaV DCS being an advantage.
* Start-up and commissioning experience in process automation.
* Willingness to travel frequently.
* Availability to work outside regular hours, including weekends, for support and callout services.
