As part of a community of global Vanity Social Media Managers and Audience Development Managers, this person will be embedded with the Vanity Fair Italy content team and play a key role in overseeing social storytelling and content distribution, as well as executing daily posting and scheduling on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin and other platforms. With a proven history of growing social audiences and knowledge of analytical tools, this person has a strong journalistic sense, an eye for powerful visuals, strong writing skills, social storytelling skills and understands the Vanity Fair voice. They understand how data can inform a smart editorial and social strategy, and are expert at juggling multiple projects, managing deadlines, distilling social numbers into actionable insights and advocating for strong social content across the organisation. The main goals of this role are to drive traffic to Vanity Fair.it as well as building and fostering strong, engaged off-platform audiences. /p h3Primary Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage day-to-day posting, editing and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter /li liSupervise the local Social Media team by providing orientation, advices and best-practices to amplify the social media strategy /li liMaster Vanity Fair Italy's editorial voice and tone, adapting it to the different platforms /li liSelect imagery, video and visual content that engages audiences /li liPlan, design and implement successful social strategies on cover reveals, tentpoles (such as Festival di Sanremo, Mostra del Cinema di Venezia) and global and local stories /li liAdapt and realise the Global Vanity Fair social strategy locally, based on local market conditions and culture /li liWork with the global social storytelling team to ensure the best storytelling for the Vanity Fair Italy accounts /li liBrainstorm new ideas and plan rollout strategies for testing with the audience development team /li liAdjust social strategy according to KPI pacing and report on any wins and losses /li liReport on content performance and present social insights and best practices to various stakeholders /li liWork with video teams on social storytelling packages /li liExecute on best-in-class social storytelling, gathering assets from different teams /li liSeamlessly integrate with Content/Edit and guide teams daily on story positioning (for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, for example) /li liManage social swaps with internal Conde Nast brands, other Vanity Fair teams, as well as external partners /li liWork with the commerce team to strategize ways to increase traffic (and therefore revenue) to commerce content /li liCollaborate with the Sales team for the implementation of sponsorships through social media /li /ul h3Primary Skills Qualifications /h3 ul li4+ years of experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably for a company in the Media, Creative and Fashion industries /li liItalian mother tongue with professional working proficiency in English /li liStrong leadership skills and experience in coordinating teams /li liAbility to identify and select powerful images and videos /li liStrong writing skills for captions, headlines and visual storytelling /li liStrong editorial judgement, with a passion for the topics and the tone of voice proposed by Vanity Fair Italy /li liCommunity management experience /li liExcellent organisational skills, focus, and attention to detail /li liAn established ability to synthesise and communicate information quickly /li liExperience with video editing and asset creation /li liAble to work outside standard working hours (occasional evenings and weekends) /li liExperience in working on social engagement strategies for video and audio /li liGood understanding of social media analytics and how data can inform a successful editorial and social strategy /li liDesired experience in working cross-culturally /li /ul h3What happens next? /h3 pIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply below, and we will review your application as soon as possible.
