Role Description
A 12-month, full-time, on-site scholarship is available at Istituto G. Ronzoni in Milan, renewable for an additional year. The scholarship is focused on the study of the physico-chemical properties of polysaccharides and biopolymers — including hyaluronic acid, chitosan, glycosaminoglycans, and collagen — using multiple analytical approaches: rheometry, static and dynamic light scattering, NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
The scholar will conduct in-depth experimental research, analyze and interpret data, prepare scientific reports, and collaborate with the Institute’s research team. Opportunities to participate in seminars and present findings to the scientific community are also part of the role.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in scientific disciplines (chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields), obtained no more than three years ago
* Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and evaluate experimental data
* Proficiency in scientific writing, reporting, and presenting findings
* Familiarity with physico-chemical characterization techniques is a plus
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing deadlines effectively
* Excellent attention to detail and precision
* Proficiency in Italian and/or English
