PpRINA is currently recruiting for a bSubsea System Engineer /b to join its office in Fano (Italy) within the bPlant Engineering /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Subsea System Engineer is a crucial role within a subsea/offshore engineering team, responsible for a variety of technical engineering activities related to design, verification and certification of subsea structure/system and vessel receiving structures, either existing or new. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 pbEngineering Studies and Design Activities: /b /p ul liDevelop and perform engineering studies, analyses, and calculations for subsea structures/systems and vessel receiving structures, covering both existing assets and new projects. /li liConduct design and engineering consulting activities across all project phases, including feasibility studies, concept selection, FEED, basic and detailed design, and cost estimation. /li liPrepare and maintain the Design Basis, ensuring proper interface with relevant engineering disciplines (structures, process, installation, etc.). /li /ul pbStructural Analysis and Layout: /b /p ul liDevelop structural stress analyses and define layouts and configurations for subsea structures, equipment, flanges, fittings, and associated components. /li liPerform and/or verify all discipline-specific analyses and calculation reports required for the design of subsea structures/systems and vessel receiving structures. /li /ul pbClient, Project, and Certification Interfaces: /b /p ul liInterface with clients and internal project teams to clarify technical requirements and provide effective engineering solutions. /li liReview client technical documentation during both bidding and execution phases. /li liSupport the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, including technical clarifications and documentation. /li liInterface with clients and certifying bodies, reviewing comments and ensuring timely and effective technical responses. /li /ul pbTechnical Documentation and Standards: /b /p ul liReview client technical specifications and requirements, ensuring compliance and adequacy of project documentation. /li liUpdate technical documents based on comments from other disciplines, clients, shipyards, and third parties. /li liContribute to the development and updating of internal standards, guidelines, and technical procedures. /li liCooperate in the preparation of technical papers, engineering rules, and guidelines. /li /ul pbSubcontractor and Third-Party Engineering Control: /b /p ul liReview and control engineering documents produced by subcontracted disciplines. /li liPerform engineering reviews and independent analyses of subsea and vessel receiving structures within third‑party engineering scopes. /li liMonitor and assess engineering activities of subcontractors and third-party engineering companies to ensure technical compliance. /li /ul pbEngineering Support and Problem Solving: /b /p ul liSupport the Subsea Senior Engineer / Subsea Principal Engineer in addressing and resolving technical issues arising during project execution. /li liEnsure the implementation of approved design changes, providing regular technical progress updates. /li liReport engineering activities, issues, and progress to the Subsea Senior Engineer. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMinimum of 1-3 years of experience in subsea/offshore engineering projects, with a proven track record in leading technical engineering activities. /li liProficient knowledge of structural analysis techniques and relevant software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS). /li liGood knowledge in CAD software for layout design (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). /li liFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ISO). /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ul liWORKPLACE DYNAMICS – Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. /li liPERSONAL EMPOWERMENT – Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally. /li liINTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE – Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others. /li liDOMAIN BUSINESS ACUMEN – Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise. /li liFORESIGHT INSIGHT – Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making. /li /ul pAt RINA, we endeavor to create a work environment where every single person is valued and encouraged to develop new ideas.
