Company: A leading developer in the renewable energy sector, focused on advancing energy transition through large-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects across Italy.
Role: Based in Italy, the BESS Development Lead will be responsible for end-to-end development of grid-scale battery storage projects. This includes site origination, permitting, grid connection, stakeholder engagement, and managing the project through to construction readiness. The role involves close collaboration with internal technical, commercial, and legal teams, as well as external partners and regulatory bodies.
Requirements: 4+ years’ experience in renewable energy or infrastructure development; minimum 2 years specifically in BESS or related energy storage projects. In-depth understanding of the Italian energy market, grid connection procedures, and permitting regulations. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage external consultants. Strong commercial and technical acumen in energy project development. Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
