This role is specifically focused on the assessment of PCBA manufacturing processes. The Quality Engineer will not be conducting general Quality Management System (QMS) audits but will instead focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of the supplier's manufacturing capabilities. /ppbKey Responsibilities /b /pulliQualification of new suppliers /liliConduct detailed technical and quality assessments of PCBA manufacturing processes at suppliers' facilities /liliAssess the supplier’s manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and adherence to regulatory requirements /liliReview and validate supplier documentation, including process flow diagrams, control plans, and quality reports /liliEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards such as IPC-A-610 (for PCBA), ISO 9001, and other applicable regulations /liliReview assessment reports for consistency and alignment with client guidelines, ensuring thoroughness and clarity /liliManagement of supplier nonconformities (NCRs) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 8D reports /liliWork closely with suppliers to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions where necessary /liliPerform and support in-depth technical analysis and failure mode evaluations for PCBA assemblies /li /ulpbRequired Qualifications /b /pulliGood knowledge of industry standards, including IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, ISO 9001, and others relevant to PCBA processes /liliSkilled in evaluating and analyzing manufacturing processes, failure modes, potential risks and risk level assessing in PCBA production /liliFamiliarity with tools and methods for assessing product quality and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement /liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, clients, and internal teams /liliDetail-oriented with the ability to thoroughly review reports and documentation for accuracy and compliance /li /ulpbPreferred Qualifications /b /pulliMinimum of 2 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing and inspection /liliGeneral Knowledge of CEI EN 61340-5-1, CEI EN 61340-5-2 and other “ESD” applicable standards /liliGood knowledge of electronic components and related datasheets is required /liliAbility to read and understand electrical diagrams, bill of materials, testing procedures and other technical documentation for PCBA manufacturing. /li /ulpLanguages /ppgood knowledge of Italian and English /ppbABOUT US /b /ppNidec Conversion is a $600M Business Unit of Nidec Corporation, a $18 Billion+ global company, headquartered in Milan (Italy) and footprint in more than 10 countries.
