What you will do
As General Manager for Italy, your primary responsibility is to oversee business performance at the country level, achieve profitability objectives, deliver plans, maintain high customer satisfaction, and grow the business in line with Regional Business strategies.
The role requires strategic planning, leadership, and operational management to align the company's goals with local market conditions.
How you will do it
* Serve as an active member of the European leadership team, providing performance information accurately and timely, supporting other leaders to share resources and approaches to maximize revenues and profitability.
* Grow the business by setting and managing a comprehensive sales strategy. Foster a climate of Sales Excellence with a highly professional sales force capable of building a high-quality sales pipeline, accurate forecasting, and exploring cross-selling opportunities.
* Oversee country financial management in accordance with Gunnebo's policies, ensuring long-term viability.
* Implement the country’s strategic direction, focusing on developing after-sales strategies, building a service organization, and driving inorganic growth through M&A and project management.
* Translate strategic priorities into operational results and ensure communication aligns with the in-country leadership team to meet commitments.
* Build and drive a high-performance culture across the leadership team with a One-team mindset.
* Manage country assets across branches, including people, financials, and materials, ensuring profitability and efficiency improvements.
* Lead, develop, and coach the operational, sales, and functional management teams to achieve business targets such as orders, revenue, margin, EBIT, and working capital.
* Develop high-performing local leadership through staffing, performance management, coaching, and succession planning.
* Build key relationships with owners, contractors, consultants, and maintain key accounts.
* Establish collaborative relationships across Europe and the wider Gunnebo organization to maximize financial performance and customer service, sharing best practices.
* Act as the legal manager of the country’s business entities and as the company’s representative to employee bodies, customers, suppliers, and authorities.
* Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
What we look for
* University degree or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrable experience in manufacturing.
* Over 10 years of experience, including growing market share, revenue, and profitability.
* Experience in defining local strategic direction aligned with business strategy.
* Experience in developing after-sales and service growth strategies, including M&A experience.
* Ability to lead daily operations with P&L responsibility.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Ability to build a management team and create a culture of accountability.
* Ability to energize the team to exceed targets.
