An international organization is looking for a facility manager, which is responsible for the supervision, execution and coordination of structural works within the assigned geographical region (Italy). The main task is to ensure that the owned areas are adequately maintained in accordance with the standards, in the most efficient and economic way possible. Ensure compliance with all aspects of construction and conservation legislation, including the purchase of all necessary permits and authorizations. Manage the implementation of corporate health and safety policies, including the adoption of safe working practices, by taking appropriate actions to allow supervision and monitoring to effectively manage the risks of the areas. Responsible for production management, authorization and monitoring of monthly accounts according to corporate accounting practices, within the agreed regional delegated budget and the financial authority delegated for the transaction. Collaborates with external engineers, architects and surveyors for the design and construction of important or specialist projects. Interact with horticulture staff, gathering information and providing assistance for small routine maintenance or works performed by external contractors. Bachelor’s in Building or Master’s degree in Architecture, Conservation Management or Construction Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience and ability to demonstrate thorough experience/background in operational planning, technical projects and architecture/engineering. At least five years’ work experience in team management. Knowledge of Italian legislation around building planning permission. Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities. Good command of written and spoken English language. Knowledge of Health and Safety best practices Project Management skills and ability to accurately interpret construction drawings. Salary from 40k.
