Job TitleR&D Engineer / ChillersLocationRonchi dei Legionari (GO)CompanyMunters Corporation – DCT / GeoclimaTravelYesJob OverviewThe R&D Engineer leads the development and design of standard and special chillers with a focus on sustainability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.ResponsibilitiesConfigure and manage chiller models with performance checks in coordination with the testing department.Directly select appropriate components (compressors, heat exchangers, fans) to meet design specifications and performance requirements.Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure designs are cutting‐edge and compliant.Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions that exceed expectations.Communicate regularly with other departments regarding technical clarifications, design modifications, and feedback from production.Provide technical support to the sales and testing departments, proactively report recurring issues, and contribute to engineering improvements and design optimizations.Skills & QualificationsMastery of the fundamental laws of thermodynamics, especially refrigeration cycles.Ability to analyze and read hydraulic and refrigeration circuit diagrams; reading electrical diagrams is a plus.Analyze and interpret technical documents, specifications, and functional specifications.Methodical, precise, and organized work management.Effective and proactive problem‐solving skills.Knowledge of national and European regulations (Machinery Directive, EN2014‐68 EU, EN3781‐4, ASME VIII, UL) relevant to the sector.Willingness to collaborate with other departments to ensure project consistency.ExperiencePreferably experience in the design and engineering of HVAC systems.EducationBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.BenefitsCompetitive salary, professional development opportunities, state‐of‐the‐art equipment and tools to support your work.Equal Opportunity EmployerMunters are equal opportunity employers and are committed to diversity in the workplace.
