We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join the Arduino Cloud and Software team and help us ensure consistent deployment of high‑quality applications. You will be responsible for all software to meet internal and external specifications, and satisfy user needs before product delivery. What you'll work on
Lead the QA strategy and processes for the Arduino Cloud and Software team.
Guide a small team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Define and monitor key quality metrics to ensure the highest standards for all software products and services.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Oversee comprehensive test plans and drive the adoption of test automation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all software quality‑related issues and collaborate closely with product, support and external teams.
Establish and maintain a robust bug‑tracking process to ensure all issues are well‑documented and prioritized, smoothing the way for technical investigation.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of software engineering or related work experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 1+ year of software engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
What you bring
BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience leading a QA team and developing a comprehensive QA strategy.
Deep expertise in QA methodologies and a variety of testing types.
Professional experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Bonus Points
Experience with backend API testing.
Experience with performance and load testing.
Knowledge of software security guidelines or experience in security testing.
Familiarity with Arduino and embedded programming.
Experience in the IoT field.
