Site Verification & Validation Engineer
Location: Venegono or Rome.

Mission
As a Verification & Validation Engineer, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and verification activities.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to develop test plans and execute test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
The ideal candidate has a solid background in software verification and testing methodologies, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Accountabilities
Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and design specifications.
Execute functional, regression, performance, and system integration tests; conduct manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
Identify, analyse and document defects and inconsistencies in software behaviour.
Verify software requirements and design and ensure they are implemented correctly.
Validate software functionality against defined SW requirements, user needs and intended use cases.
Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test reports, and test summaries; communicate test results to stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend and implement improvements to testing methodologies, tools and techniques.
Collaborate with software developers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and verify bug fixes; communicate testing progress, results and risks to project stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
Qualifications
Experience as a Verification and Validation Engineer or similar role, preferably in the software industry and embedded safety-critical domain.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and processes, in safety-critical and aviation domain (DO-178C) is a plus.
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python, Ada) for verification and validation purposes.
Good experience in developing and debugging.
Experience with test management tools (e.g., VectorCAST, LDRA, Parasoft, Jira, TestRail, Quality Center).
Proficiency in writing test cases and test scripts.
Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., CUnit, CppUnit, Selenium, JUnit, pytest).
Familiarity with HW interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, serial, I/O signals) and bus communication protocols.
