We are looking for a Tax Functional Analyst (completely full remote from Italy) This role involves developing and enhancing tax-related software solutions, focusing on income tax return modules (e.g., Modello 730). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Italian tax regulations and hands-on experience in functional analysis within accounting, controlling, or tax sectors. They will serve as a bridge between tax legislation and software development, ensuring accurate and compliant implementation of complex fiscal requirements. Key Responsibilities Analyze and interpret official tax documentation (e.g., Modello 730, ministerial instructions, technical specifications, AdE circulars and resolutions) to extract functional requirements. Draft detailed functional analysis documents to support the development of income tax return modules within the software platform. Provide structured input to software developers for the correct implementation of tax calculation fields and logic. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including testers and developers, to ensure end-to-end validation of tax calculations. Contribute to the design and automation of test pipelines for tax modules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation. Benchmark functionalities against direct competitors to identify gaps and propose enhancements. Support the continuous improvement of the software by proposing scalable automation tools and innovative solutions tailored to accounting professionals' needs. Requirements Proven experience in functional analysis within the tax, accounting, or financial software domain. In-depth knowledge of Italian tax regulations, especially related to income tax returns (Modello 730 and related forms). Familiarity with documentation issued by Agenzia delle Entrate and other regulatory bodies. Experience working in or with accounting firms, with a strong understanding of their operational and compliance needs. Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, structured, and actionable software specifications. Previous professional experience within a software house is mandatory.
