This role ensures accurate and transparent financial management of Open Book contracts by developing and maintaining tariff models in line with contractual agreements. Acting as a key business partner to Operations and Contract Management, the Business Controller (Open Book Controller) ensures alignment between operational performance, financial results, and contractual structures, with direct interaction with the customer.Responsibilities
Develop and manage Open Book tariff models in line with contractual agreementsPrepare monthly Open Book invoices and support the approval process with the customerDeliver detailed financial reporting to the client, ensuring accurate cost allocation consistent with contractual structuresPerform monthly variance analysis versus Budget and Forecast, focusing on costs and operational drivers (e.g., FTEs, volumes, productivity)Manage quarterly and annual true-up processes, ensuring reconciliation between reporting and accounting dataCertify recharged costs based on service contracts, purchase orders, and supplier invoices, in coordination with Accounting, Operations, and Support FunctionsSupport audits performed by the customer or external auditorsLead the Open Book budgeting and forecasting process, including what-if analyses on volumes and cost driversContribute to DHL Supply Chain reporting, planning, and forecasting cyclesDrive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives within the contractual frameworkAct as a business partner to Operations and Contract Managers, providing ad hoc financial analysis and support for both internal stakeholders and the customer
What We're Looking For
Degree in Economics or a related fieldAt least 10 years of experience in ControllingSolid experience in cost center controlling (profit center exposure is a plus)Background in structured and complex environments; experience in contract logistics is an advantageStrong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeFluent English, both written and spoken
