What You'll Be Doing:
* Lead prior art searches and deliver insightful patentability assessments
* Provide expert advice on infringement and validity matters
* Draft and manage international patent applications and prosecution
* Monitor competitor activity and assess third-party patent landscapes
* Support due diligence projects, including in-licensing opportunities
* Contribute to opposition and litigation proceedings
* Act as a key advisor to R&D teams across the full pharmaceutical lifecycle
Who We're Looking For:
You are a scientifically-minded IP professional who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment. You bring:
* A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related Life Sciences discipline
* 3–5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical IP (industry or private practice)
* Strong understanding of drug development, chemical processes, and R&D pipelines
* Qualification as an Italian Patent Attorney and progress toward European Patent Attorney status
* Fluency in English and Italian
* A proactive, adaptable mindset with strong analytical skills
Location & Working Style (Important):
This role is based in Italy and requires candidates to live within Italy. While the position offers hybrid flexibility, you will be expected to travel to Parma on a frequent (typically weekly) basis to collaborate with key teams on-site. This is a core part of the role and essential for success.
