The expeditor is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of orders placed with vendors and deliveries. The main tasks are managing schedules, coordinating orders, and addressing challenges related to possible delays. The expeditor must possess exceptional organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and meticulous attention to detail to uphold efficient operations.
Responsibilities, Duties And Tasks
Coordinating orders placed with vendors.
Monitoring order status.
Ensuring timely processing and delivery of orders.
Communicating with vendors to resolve issues or delays.
Collaborating with procurement and project management teams to meet deadlines.
Providing regular reports and updates on order status.
External & Internal Relationships
External: Vendors, Sub-vendors, possibly Clients.
Internal: Procurement team, Project management team, possibly Production team.
Travel Requirements Travel in Italy (weekly) and Europe (a few times per month).
Education and Qualifications Required education: Bachelor degree mandatory.
Degrees in technical subjects (e.g., Engineering) are considered a plus.
Experience
At least 5 years of experience as expeditor at other companies.
Experience in the industrial manufacturing sector (Oil and Gas, Refinery, Ammonia, etc.) is mandatory.
Experience with EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) companies is considered a plus.
