We are hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at our Mulgrave site. In this role, you will lead a technical team in carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance activities, repairing and maintaining the machinery that keeps Amazon running! As a Maintenance Supervisor you'll help us stay one step ahead, adopting the latest technologies and identifying new and efficient ways of working. You’ll pay close attention to our processes to help maintain our high standards and put in place upgrades to raise that standard even higher. Key job responsibilities
Lead and Motivate: Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing strategic guidance and professional development Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs and facility compliance strategies Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe working across the site Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex facility systems and automated equipment Build strong relationships across organizational levels and participate in strategic leadership meetings
A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of hands‑on technical work and strategic leadership. You'll lead a team of technicians (fitters and electricians), troubleshoot complex equipment challenges, and develop proactive maintenance strategies that keep our cutting‑edge systems performing at their peak. Basic Qualifications
A full Engineering Apprenticeship qualified to a minimum of Certificate III or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject formally recognised in Australia, including a valid licence when required (e.g., unrestricted electrical licence). Leadership experience supervising multi‑trade teams Experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of programmable logic controls (PLC) programming Experience in multi‑contractor management Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
