LOGISTICS & WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER General Summary Directs the work activities of 3-4 shipping department staff and 3-4 warehouse crew. Provides hands-on direction of daily activities to ensure that our customers' shipping requirements are met. Drives results in safety, quality, and cost. Promotes continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and applying appropriate tools to enhance on-time shipments. Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse. Ensures full compliance with all Federal and State laws, regulations, and company policies related to Safety, Quality, and Workplace Conduct. Specific Job Duties: Logistics: Oversees order management to ensure all orders are processed to meet customer shipping deadlines. Routes orders and ensures pickups are executed on time. Maintains order pickup schedule and monthly activity calendar. Ensures shipping expenses meet or exceed customer expectations. Shipping: Ensures shipments leave with 100% accuracy. Manages daily productivity levels in all areas. Receiving: Responsible for the inflow of goods. Maintains all logs for receiving. Ensures receiving accuracy of incoming shipments, including overseas packaging. Ensures accuracy of outgoing raw materials shipped overseas. Warehouse: Manages warehouse staff. Responsible for inventory counts and organization. Oversees production staging and shelving of products. Maintains a clean and organized warehouse environment. Conducts physical inventory of raw materials. Ensures correct stock rotation. Performs yearly physical inventory. Management: Maintains food quality standards across operations. Communicates regularly with managers and team members about operations, safety, and quality issues. First 90 Days Key Focus: Assist in refining shipping processes to ensure timely and accurate orders. Improve order management and communication with stakeholders: Production, Shipping, Warehouse. Learn product lines and customer needs; develop and execute warehouse disposition plans. Organize the shipping area. Ensure all paperwork and programs are maintained. Build and develop the warehouse team. Specific Job Requirements: Minimum 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to operate and train on forklift. Proficient in Windows-based programs, especially Excel. Knowledge of OSHA standards, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF requirements. Experience with cross-functional operations, delivering results in schedule, quality, and cost. Passion for continuous improvement and leading initiatives; a proactive change agent.
