We are seeking a Solution Engineer to join our EMEA Software Monetization (SM) team .
The SM Sentinel solution portfolio provides software companies and intelligent device vendors with software protection, licensing, download, and automated entitlement management solutions. With over 35 years of experience, we help our customers drive business growth and maximize the value from their software, whether in the cloud, embedded in hardware, or installed on premises.
Role Overview: In this customer-facing role, you will serve as the technical owner of customer accounts, providing guidance and leadership during the presales phase across Italy and the EMEA region, supporting SMB and enterprise software protection solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Act as the primary technical interface during the Pre-Sales stage, understanding prospects' technical requirements.
* Become a subject matter expert on the entire Sentinel SM product portfolio. Assist sales managers during customer visits, supporting Discovery and Diagnosis phases.
* Support existing customers through periodic Business Reviews, identifying upselling opportunities.
* Understand customer business objectives and articulate how Sentinel technology aligns with these goals.
* Define and present product demonstrations and presentations to stakeholders.
* Build high-level solution designs and outline implementation steps.
* Lead responses to RFIs and RFPs.
* Guide customers through Proof of Concept, Hackathons, and product evaluations to ensure successful outcomes. Collaborate with Professional Services for larger accounts to develop detailed solution designs and architectures. Provide consulting, best practices, and technical training for successful Sentinel implementation.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
* University degree.
* 5+ years of experience in a technical and consulting customer-facing role supporting mid-size and enterprise-grade customers with complex solutions.
* Languages: Fluent in Italian and English.
* Broad IT knowledge, including back-office systems, network protocols, web services, virtual environments, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, Android).
* Basic software development experience; knowledge of C/C++, Java, or .NET is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proficient in training and educating customers on Sentinel technology.
* Willingness to travel within Italy and EMEA, up to 30% of the time.
* Strong relationship-building skills.
* Ability to quickly learn new products and concepts.
* Interest in developing business acumen alongside technical skills.
