Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced compliance specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting social compliance assessments, delivering high-quality reports, and maintaining knowledge of relevant procedures and local laws.
* Conduct general and basic social compliance assessments based on established procedures and client expectations.
* Deliver quality reports according to protocols and timelines.
* Maintain knowledge of social compliance assessment procedures and local labor laws.
* Interact with internal team members, including training, coordinator, and administrative staff.
* Work with co-assessors to accomplish tasks during on-site assessments and reporting processes.
* Adhere to company policies related to integrity and confidentiality of information.
* Stay vigilant against schedule leakage, unhealthy consultant behavior on site, and bribery attempts.
* Perform other assignments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Education and Professional Background:
A university degree (graduate level or higher) with a specialization in Labor Law, Human Resources, Social Work, Occupational Health and Safety, or Environmental Studies is required. The candidate should have sufficient professional experience to meet the expectations for auditors.
Legal and Industry Knowledge:
An in-depth understanding of international, national, and local laws and standards relevant to labor compliance is essential. The candidate should also be aware of region-specific issues that require cultural sensitivity and further investigation where applicable.
Auditing Expertise:
Proven ability to carry out supplier compliance assessments, including conducting confidential worker interviews, reviewing employment records, and performing wage tests and related calculations.
Language Proficiency:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian (mandatory) and English.
Travel Flexibility and Time Management:
Willingness and ability to travel extensively and frequently. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently under varying conditions are required.
