Job Description
Quaestio SGR, a management company primarily serving institutional clients with a wide range of UCITS and AIF funds under Luxembourg and Italian law, is seeking a Senior Financial and ICT Risk Manager. This role involves defining, implementing, and overseeing the risk management systems for portfolios, ensuring compliance with current regulations (e.g., UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II), and maintaining adequate oversight of financial, operational, and ICT risks.
Main Responsibilities
* Define and update the financial and ICT risk management framework, including policies, processes, and risk metrics, with support from corporate consultants.
* Monitor market, credit, liquidity, counterparty, operational, and ESG risks across managed funds and the SGR.
* Supervise the Risk Profile of UCITS and AIF funds, including stress testing, VaR, backtesting, and risk budgeting.
* Oversee regulatory and internal risk limits and analyze deviations.
* Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Investment Management functions.
* Prepare periodic reports for the relevant Committees, Boards, the Board of Statutory Auditors, and Supervisory Authorities (e.g., Bank of Italy, CONSOB, CSSF) .
* Oversee ESG risk assessments in line with SFDR regulations and supervisory expectations from Bank of Italy.
* Monitor and report ICT risks to the company’s governing bodies, coordinating with external consultancy and IT department, in accordance with DORA regulations.
* Coordinate a team of internal analysts and external ICT specialists.
* Qualifications: Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, with postgraduate specialization in Finance or related fields.
* At least 5 years of risk management experience in SGRs, SIMs, banks, or consulting firms.
* Deep knowledge of sector regulations: UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, SFDR, and European/national regulations governing Italian and Luxembourg funds and SGR operations; knowledge of DORA regulation.
* Excellent IT skills, especially Python.
* Previous experience managing teams and reporting to corporate bodies and sector authorities; strong analytical skills, precision, autonomy, responsibility, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
